Life at Selva Romantica
Just above Olas Altas
Selva Romantica sits at Francisca Rodríguez 223 in the Zona Romántica, two streets up the hill from Olas Altas. Los Muertos Beach is less than five minutes away on foot, and the restaurants of Olas Altas and Basilio Badillo are a block or two. The walk home is uphill with some stairs, which is the trade for the view, and Uber and taxis are easy to find.
Shared amenities
The complex is gated and built around its gardens, with palm-shaded paths between the buildings. The large infinity pool has a hot tub, loungers and palapas, and the view runs across the rooftops of the Old Town to the bay. There's also a gym, and a shared washer and dryer on site.
Casa Tortuga
Casa Tortuga (Paraiso 4) is the condo we manage at Selva Romantica: a large studio with the pool just steps from the door and a parking space right outside. It sleeps three: two in a king bed and one on the living room sofa. The kitchen has colorful Talavera tiles and a purified water system, the bathroom has stained glass details, and the private balcony looks out into the trees, with mountain and city views. There's no elevator; the easiest way in is up about ten steps.

Is Casa Tortuga at Selva Romantica?
Yes. Casa Tortuga is condo Paraiso 4 in the Selva Romantica complex, and it's the only one we rent there. You can check dates and book it on this page.
Is it a walk up?
A little. The complex is on the hillside, so expect an uphill walk with some stairs from the beach, and there's no elevator to Casa Tortuga: the easiest entrance is about ten steps up.
Is there parking?
Yes. Casa Tortuga comes with a parking space just outside the studio.
Can I bring children or pets?
No. Casa Tortuga is adults only, for guests 25 and older, and pets and smoking aren't allowed.
